Our Team

THE CLG INSTRUCTION TEAM

The Chiropractic Law Group is a multi-service consulting firm developed by attorneys and chiropractic compliance professionals with a combined 35 years in advising, representing, training and educating both new chiropractic college graduates, and highly experienced doctors of chiropractic, in the law and technical aspects of the chiropractic profession. The CLG team has developed four unique educational programs to embody all of the essential and necessary information, instruction and training that chiropractors need to know in order to properly open and operate a successful, and compliant, chiropractic practice. The CLG instructional Team is comprised of former adjunct professors of jurisprudence and chiropractic office procedures at Texas Chiropractic College and a former associate professor of business law at the McCombs College of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. All of the CLG instructional Team members have lectured extensively on chiropractic law and regulations, chiropractic business procedures and effective marketing practices for the chiropractic profession to chiropractic audiences around the country.

Larry J. Laurent

Mr. Laurent has been a licensed Texas attorney for 38 years. Since 1990 Mr. Laurent’s law practice has been devoted exclusively to representing doctors of chiropractic and providing legal services to the chiropractic profession. Mr. Laurent served as a professor of business law at Texas State University, The University of Texas at Austin and Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas where he taught a course on basic business law for chiropractic professionals to satisfy the Jurisprudence and Ethics requirement. Mr. Laurent founded the Chiropractic Law Seminar series and regularly conducts seminars on chiropractic law issues around Texas. Mr. Laurent is a recognized speaker at national chiropractic consulting conferences, is a member of the National Association of Chiropractic Attorneys and has authored the Texas Chiropractic Practice Compliance Manual.

Kathy Jones

Ms. Jones is founder and owner of the National Association of Chiropractic Assistants. Ms. Jones conducts seminars and training programs for doctors of chiropractic and chiropractic staff in the areas of coding, billing, documentation, insurance and office procedures. Ms. Jones is a recognized expert in the filed of chiropractic office procedures and insurance and has served as an expert witness in numerous chiropractic dispute resolution proceedings in the field of managed care, worker compensation, post-payment audit reviews and chiropractic board enforcement cases. Ms. Jones has developed a series of chiropractic office forms that are recognized as the benchmark for compliance in the field of chiropractic office procedures.
